By bringing together future
physicians and the Houston community in a fitness event, we hope to show that
exercise is not only in a doctor's advice, but in a doctor's way of life!
The 1st annual Baylor College
of Medicine Wellness 5K was organized by medical students in 2012 with the
mission of promoting wellness both within Baylor and the Houston community as a
whole. That year, we hosted over 500 runners and walkers and raised over
$18,000 for charity and community projects. Since then, the races have hosted
over 1500 runners and raised over $43,000 cumulatively over three years! Please
